NASA’s GeneLab for Colleges and Universities (GL4U) initiative offers on-demand courses that empower students and researchers to explore space biology data and tools. The program provides flexible, self-paced learning opportunities, making it easier to access space biology education.
Available Courses
– Introductory Course: This course provides an overview of NASA’s Science Mission Directorate, Space Biology, Open Science, and GeneLab. It also includes hands-on training in basic coding used in bioinformatic analyses.
– RNAseq Course: This course dives into the principles and applications of RNA sequencing (RNAseq), a powerful technique for studying gene expression. Participants learn how to process, analyze, and interpret RNAseq data using NASA GeneLab’s standardized pipelines.
