Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) is set to begin admissions for the Spring Semester 2025 from January 1, 2025, across the country. This time around, the university has introduced a new policy, where admissions for all programs, from Matriculation to PhD, will be conducted in a single phase.

The programs open for admission include:

– Matriculation and Intermediate Programs: Matriculation, FA, ICom
– Associate Degrees: Arts, Commerce, and Education
– Bachelor’s Programs: BEd, BS face-to-face and ODL programs
– Postgraduate Programs: Postgraduate programs, MS, MPhil, PhD
– Diploma and Certificate Programs: Various diploma programs and certificate courses

To facilitate students, AIOU has directed its regional offices to establish Student Facilitation Centers, which will provide free access to computers and the internet for online applications. The university is also offering free education to residents of merged tribal districts, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Balochistan, as well as fee concessions to underprivileged children.
