The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has partnered with AVPL International to establish 47 drone labs in AICTE-approved institutions across India. These labs will offer hands-on training in credit-based courses, providing students with practical experience in drone designing, assembling, programming, and operation.
The courses will be designed to align with the National Credit Framework (NCrF) and will cover a range of topics, including:
– Drone Designing: Students will learn about the design principles and methodologies used in drone development.
– Drone Assembling: Hands-on training will be provided on assembling and configuring drones for various applications.
– Drone Programming: Students will learn programming languages and techniques used in drone automation and control.
– Drone Operation: Training will be provided on safe and efficient drone operation, including navigation and control.
The initiative aims to train over 25,000 candidates and address the growing demand for skilled professionals in the drone industry. The labs are expected to be operational from January 2025, and there are plans to scale up the program to 200 institutions by 2025-2026.
