What is Absconding Accused in Law Terms

Absconding Accused: formal. running away, esp from an open prison or to avoid prosecution or punishment. an absconding debtor. the act of running away from an open institution or avoiding prosecution or punishment. The police believed he presented a low risk of absconding.

Absconding Accused Under Section 512 Pakistan Penal Code
The term “abscond” with its derivatives is not defined in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (hereinafter referred to as the Code) although it occurs in several Sections viz Sections 87, 90 (a) and 512 of the Code and Section 172 of the Pakistan Penal Code 1860.

Proclamation for Person Absconding (Section 82 of CrPc)
Legal provisions regarding proclamation for person absconding under section 82 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. The ordinary process for compelling appearance is in the first instance to issue summons under Section 61. When summons has so issued cannot be served it is the duty of the court to issue a warrant.

When warrant also cannot be executed the Court may issue a proclamation under Section 82 or property of the person wanted may be attached under Section 83 of the Code while steps are being taken to enforce the appearance of the accused under Sections 82 and 83, the Court may, if the absconder is an accused person, proceed under Section 299 of the Code by recording of evidence in absence of accused. Section 82 of the Code of Criminal Procedure provides that:
