Law Admission Test (LAT) For the LLB Program

The Law Admission Test (LAT) is a mandatory requirement for admission to the five-year LLB program in Pakistan. The test is conducted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) three times a year.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the LAT, candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent, or be awaiting their results.

Test Format:

The LAT consists of two parts: an objective section with 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and a subjective section with an essay and a personal statement.

– Objective Section:

– English (20 marks)
– General Knowledge (20 marks)
– Islamic Studies (10 marks)
– Pakistan Studies (10 marks)
– Urdu (10 marks)
– Math (5 marks)

– Subjective Section:

– Essay (15 marks, 200 words)
– Personal Statement (10 marks, 200 words)

Passing Marks:

Candidates must score at least 50 marks to pass the LAT.

Registration and Test Dates:

The registration deadline for the LAT was November 5, 2024, and the test date is yet to be announced.
