Applications for the 2025 National Press Club scholarships are now open, offering various opportunities for high school, college, and graduate student journalists.
Available Scholarships
– Scholarship for Journalism Diversity Honoring Julie Schoo: A $5,000 scholarship for high school seniors, renewable for up to three years at $5,000 per year.
– Richard G. Zimmerman Scholarship: A one-time $5,000 scholarship for high school seniors pursuing a career in journalism.
– Wes Vernon Broadcast Scholarship: A $5,000 scholarship for students demonstrating a commitment to a career in broadcast journalism, renewable for up to three years.
– Lewis Scholarship: Provides housing and a monthly stipend for student journalists of color with newsroom internships in Washington, D.C. during the summer semester.
– Dennis and Shirley Feldman Fellowship: A one-time $5,000 scholarship for a journalism graduate student.
Eligibility and Application Details
To be eligible, students must meet specific requirements, which vary by scholarship. The application deadline for all 2025 scholarships is March 16, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
