Atlanta Attorney Shares Results of City Revenue Department External Audit

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) The ongoing conversations about if the city’s finance department has millions of dollars unaccounted for continue.

In December, the city’s internal auditor, Donna McGinnis revealed to council the finance department was apparently missing $45.1 million in unprocessed transactional activity for fees.

At Tuesday’s city council meeting, an attorney hired by the city to investigate the finance department shared the results of the investigation. Mayor Henderson says the outside audit done by the law firm, Troutman Pepper was done because citizens deserve transparency. More Read
