What is Immovable Property in Pakistan as Per Law

As per Lawkidunya and Immovable Property in Pakistan as Per Law, in Pakistan, the definition of immovable property is as follows: ‘Immoveable property’ includes land, buildings, benefits to arise out of land and things attached to the earth, or permanently fastened to anything attached to the earth, hereditary allowances, rights to ways, lights, ferries and fisheries.

The word “Immovable Property includes land, building, hereditary allowances, rights to ways, lights, ferries, fisheries or any other benefit to arise out of the land, and things attached to the earth or permanently fastened to anything which in turn is attached to the earth except standing timber, growing crops nor grass”.

Some Exceptions of Immovable Property not defined under Transfer of Property Act. As per Section 3, immovable property does not include standing timber, growing crop and grass. Standing timbers are tree fit for use for building or repairing houses. This is an exception to the general rule that growing tree are immovable property.
